Indiana's United States Congressman, John Hostettler, will be speaking tonight at 7:00pm on campus in Forum 1.

"This meeting will serve to kickoff the newly formed group, USI College Republicans, and will help inform the USI community of our existence," said Sean Selby, Executive Chairman of USI College Republicans. "We are bringing in our Congressman as the kickoff speaker because he is a great role-model and statesman," Selby said.

"He is an excellent speaker and will be sharing about his experience on the day of September 11th, 2001, where he left the Pentagon just before it was hit," said Selby.

Selby said, "We believe in the Principles of the Republican Pary, which include the right to life, right to bear arms, limited government, a free-market economy, local-run education, and a strong national defense."

"Congressman Hostettler will also be talking about youth involvement in politics and why he believes USI could be a very important campus for local, state, and national politics for the next few years to come," Selby said.
